The fortified town of Woerden, well worth a visitAfter your visit to the cheese market you can drink a very tasty coffee, have lunch or shop in the lively heart of the town. City Museum WoerdenIn this atmospheric town museum is a vast collection of Green Heart landscapes from the Haagse School and work from important Woerden artists. One part is decorated showing the Roman roots of Woerden. Each year there is a charging town/region exhibition. The museum has for children from 8 to 12 years – nice guests available. The Woerden Historical Cheese WarehouseThe more than 100 year old warehouse on the “Oude Rijn” in Woerden is a very special place. For a long time cheese from Reypenaer is matured here in a traditional way. A cheese tasting is then the perfect way to discover the taste of Reypenaer cheese.
